Warning: Avoid Heinz Ketchup Like The Plague, Here’s 3 Research Backed Reasons Why

Nowadays, our diets are full of processed foods, rich in toxins and chemicals, which harm our health in countless ways.

Yet, we sometimes buy certain products without being aware that they pose serious health risks, such as dressings, dips, sauces, mustard, and ketchup.

Apparently, Heinz ketchup is one of the most harmful foods we buy, so let’s review its ingredient list first. Producers are obliged to list the ingredients in highest amounts first, so this ketchup is mainly tomato concentrate from red ripe tomatoes, then distilled vinegar, high fructose corn syrup etc.

This is the list of all ingredients:

  1. Tomato Concentrate
  2. Distilled Vinegar
  3. High Fructose Corn Syrup
  4. Corn Syrup
  5. Salt, Spice, Onion Powder, Natural Flavor etc.

At first glance, you can notice that Heinz is trying to hide something, by dividing the same condiment twice.

They are trying to trick customers that there are actually more ingredients in the product than there really are, but it is a fact that high fructose corn syrup and corn syrup are the same exact thing.

They want us to believe that corn syrup is healthier than high fructose corn syrup, and additionally, they have split the amount of the syrup added to their ketchup. If we regard these two as one ingredient, the list should look like this:

  1. High Fructose Corn Syrup
  2. Tomato Concentrate
  3. Distilled Vinegar
  4. Salt, Spices etc.

In this case, we would know that we are actually buying more corn syrup from GMO corn than tomato based ketchup!

Furthermore, do you know where distilled vinegar comes from? The answer is rather disturbing- Genetically Modified Corn. Aham.. Three corn-based ingredients so far.

Additionally, the salt used in this product is the cheapest one possible, which, if consumed frequently, leads to toxicity, high blood pressure, and mineral imbalances.

Do have the slightest idea what does ‘natural flavors’ mean and include? Me neither.

Go on, you can find no protein, no fiber. Yet, it contains sodium and sugar. Where from?

Maybe ‘natural flavor’ stands for sugar. Who knows?

There are countless reasons to avoid Heinz ketchup for good, but we give you three solid ones:

High Fructose Corn Syrup

This ketchup is simply full of high fructose corn syrup, which is highly toxic and unhealthy. It is derived from genetically modified corn, so it elevates blood sugar levels, damages the liver, weakens the immune system, and causes obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.

An FDA researcher has asked the corn producers to send her a barrel of high fructose corn syrup for testing numerous times, but she didn’t receive any.

Then, she asked a new beverage company on the market for a barrel, and when she received it, she found that it is high in mercury, an extremely toxic heavy metal, that harms children, leads to autism, and affects the brain and the nervous system.

Therefore, this ketchup contains this GMO, rich in mercury, toxic poisonous sweetener, in extremely high amounts, but in an attempt to hide this fact, it is listed twice. For your own health and the health of your loved ones, avoid it like the plague.

Distilled Vinegar & Sugar

Heinz ketchup contains distilled vinegar, which is made from genetically modified corn, grown with toxic pesticides and chemicals, so its consumption harms the health in many ways.

This product lists ‘natural flavors’ on the ingredient list and additional 4 grams of sugar above it, which means that the ketchup is also high in sugar too.

Most sugar in mass produces products comes from GMO sources, so this combination of sugar, GMOs, and chemicals will definitely harm your liver, metabolism, immune system, pancreas, and brain!

  1. No Nutritional Value

Since this ketchup contains no fiber, nutrients, and protein, it is actually a mixture of sugar, toxic sugar, GMOs, chemicals, and possible mercury. It might contain a very, very small amount of cooked lycopene, but the body cannot absorb it.

Hence, our suggestion is to avoid it completely, and focus on GMO-free, organic ketchup alternatives you can find on the market, or learn how to prepare your own, organic ketchup at home!

In this way, you will support your overall health, and avoid numerous health issues that result from the consumption of this ketchup!
